At Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services (SAAS), we believe every student deserves a fair chance to succeed. We are committed to providing the resources and support necessary for all students to have the opportunity to thrive in their academic and personal lives. SAAS has four teams that work together to support disabled students at the University of Michigan:
- Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD): Gives disabled students equitable access in their classes and in on-campus housing.
- Academic Support & Access Partnerships (ASAP): Offers workshops, coaching, and other programs to support disabled students' academic success.
- Testing Accommodation Centers (TAC): Provides a quiet place for disabled students to take tests and helps faculty make sure students get the testing help they need.
- Adaptive Sports and Fitness (ASF): Helps disabled and non-disabled people at the university and in Ann Arbor learn about and join in sports and fitness activities.

Some helpful terms:
Disability: Any condition of the body or mind that makes it more difficult for a person to do certain activities and interact with the world around them.
Accommodations: Adjustments or modifications that allow people with disabilities to participate in activities like school, work, and social events.
Accommodate (Platform): An online platform that is used to request, track, and store the details of a student's accommodation requests.
